There’s three main rules to being a mentor:
- Always reply! You should get emails notifying you when someone starts a conversation, but check the site every now and then to make sure! Leaving someone hanging is seriously rude.
- Don’t try to cheat: The University have access to conversations, and they will find out.
- If you can’t help, refer: If there’s a question you can’t help with, or a worrying mental health disclosure, you can refer your mentee to to the relevant sources of support.
