The University of Huddersfield

85% of students surveyed identified as the first member of their
family to attend university.

Using the Tyfy.co software allowed more students feel connected with their university and peers.

Tyfy.co began a pilot project with the School of Human and Health Sciences in the September 2020 academic term. The software was introduced to take the school’s
peer mentoring scheme online, enabling remote communication between students.

In particular, the school was keen to adopt online mentoring for nursing students who often experience social isolation when away from campus on placement.

“We are piloting TYFY as it offers our students the chance to get the benefits of peer mentoring online.”

“I wanted to help students that have been in a similar situation as I was in my first year.”
